Horizontal Filament Spool Holder for Creality Hi. I had the problem that the original holder with the filament spool was too tall. Therefore, I designed a holder where the spool sits horizontally above the printer. This saves space above the printer, and the original holder is rather flimsy and tends to wobble. (Mass centralization!) Mounting it on the printer is simple; two cable ties are sufficient to attach the base. Two M5x20-M5x30 screws with nuts are needed to mount the Teflon tube holder to the base. The original coupling is reused. The spool plate is universally designed; an M8x130 threaded rod, two locknuts, and one regular nut are required for mounting. Two 608ZZ bearings, the two adapter washers, or two 8mm Igus bearings can be used in the spool plate. An M8 washer should be placed between the base and the plate. Recesses are added in the base and the spool plate. Here you can glue in 10 x 2mm magnets to slow down the filament spool and prevent it from unwinding. I glued two magnets into each of the two holes in the base and one into each of the six holes in the plate. When gluing them in, please pay attention to the polarity of the magnets; they must attract each other, otherwise it won't work. I hope this is helpful and you like this.
