Overview
TorqueBox 20 is a compact 20:1 reduction gearbox designed for common 130/150-style DC motors with a 2 mm shaft . It uses a two-stage gear train to reduce motor speed and increase usable torque, making it a good fit for small robots, wheels, mechanisms, and DIY electronics projects.
The design includes the gearbox housing, lid, motor holder, motor pinion options, compound gear, output gear, shaft retainers, spacers, and other installation pieces. It is designed to be 3D printable and easy to assemble , with an output speed of about 825 RPM at a 16,500 RPM motor speed before losses.
Designed for makers who want a simple, compact gearbox without buying a separate commercial gearmotor.
