Overview
Chevrolet K5 Blazer hardbody with removable roof that is made for Axial SCX24 Deadbolt. The body, roof, grille and bumpers are remixed from: NOTE: This is not "bolt on". Test the fitment before gluing on the bodymounts. The model could be made 5mm longer to fit the deadbolt chassis better. To mount it to the SCX24: Remove the rear body hinge from the original body and chassis, flipp it around 180 degrees and glue it to the bottom of the printed model all the way back to where the floor drops, then screw it back on the chassis (In the picture RearMount_2 there is a small gap between the mount and the floor drop, that is not necessary). The front mount is glued to the front body posts and under the hood of the model and attaches to each other with magnets. Magnets for front mount x 4: Block magnet 10 x 4 x 2 mm The roof is also monted using magnets. Magnets for roof mount x 8: Block magnet 20 x 3 x 2 mm The bumpers, seats, grille, dash, mirrors and taillights are glued on after paint. Some of the parts may requre some sanding because of a tight fit. EDIT 12.08.22: Added stl files for the body cut in tree peices (Front, Middle, Rear). Thats how i printed them, then glued them together. To make the joining of the pieces invisible I sprayed several layers of spray filler and sanding before paint. EDIT 20.02.23: I was made aware that the stl's for the cut body was not correct compared to the full body, so I deleted them and added "PrintPlate_Front", "PrintPlate_Middle" and "PrintPlate_Rear". EDIT 07.03.25 I added a rollbar for the body, its not perfect and it has to be glued to the body. The fitment is not tested.
