Overview
A replacement rear headrest release button for the Volkswagen New Beetle (1998 to 2010) .
I designed and tested this part on my 2008 VW Beetle . While it fits mine perfectly, I cannot guarantee fitment across every New Beetle year/trim. I have included the STEP files so you can easily modify dimensions if needed.

Inspired by RobisonBrother's design on Thingiverse.
When I printed their version, none of the dimensions quite lined up for my car, even though we both have 2008 models. I took fresh measurements and modeled my own version from scratch. Huge thanks to RobisonBrother for sharing their original files and providing a great starting point. Be sure to check out their design as well; it might end up fitting your specific Beetle better!
Print Settings
* Printer: Bambu Lab P1S
* Nozzle: 0.25mm Revo
* Material: PETG (PLA is not recommended due to interior car temperatures)
* Layer Height: 0.1mm Adaptive
* Walls / Perimeters: 5 to 10
* Infill: 10%
* Wall Generator: Arachne
> Printing Note: A nozzle smaller than 0.4mm is STRONGLY RECOMMENDED . The section that interfaces with the metal latch is only 0.6mm wide , so the extra precision is required for proper mechanical function. Printing with a 0.4mm nozzle is probably still possible, but the small gap may not print properly/accurately if your printer is not extremely dialed. Use the right tool for the job don't go hunt rabbits with a cannon! 🙂
