Overview
If you have a row of strawberry plants in your garden, you know how quickly weeds can take over and compete for nutrients. These printable mats offer a straightforward, low-profile solution to suppress weed growth right around the base of each plant without relying on bulky plastic sheets or messy mulch. The mats are designed to be thin enough to remain highly flexible, allowing you to easily bend them open and slide them gently around the main stem of your established plants. Despite their low layer count, they are dense enough to completely block sunlight from reaching the soil directly beneath them, effectively stopping weeds from breaking through. They lay flat on the ground and integrate neatly into your garden beds. I have included four different variants in the file set. You can choose between square or round geometries, both available in two practical sizes: 15 cm and 20 cm in width/diameter. Printing Tips Since these are outdoor utility items, I highly recommend printing them in a UV-resistant filament like ASA or PETG so they can withstand the summer sun and rain without degrading. Standard PLA will warp quickly under direct sunlight and moisture.
