Overview
I snapped off the corner of the front plate of my Anet A6. Fortunately, it still held the rod well enough that I could print, so I designed this replacement. As close as I could measure it, this is dimensionally accurate for the front plate. For example, the holes for the rods were 8.3mm on my part, so I duplicated that. The only deliberate changes I made were:
Slightly reducing the radius in the upper corner, so there is more material between the rod hole and the edge of the plate. (There is still plenty of room for the wingnuts from the build plate carriage to pass by.)
Increase the plate thickness to 8mm. My original part measured about 7.70. If you need your's thinner, you can easily squeeze it down a bit in Cura before slicing.
Notes:
I already have a support brace behind this plate, so I did 25% infill and it seems OK (since it really just needs to hold everything in a location, and not provide a lot of strength). However, at 25%, it is MUCH LESS stiff than the original part. If you don't have a front brace, I'd suggest a much higher infill, possibly 100%. I printed in PLA.
