Mercedes W202 Third Brake Light

Made for my vehicle: 2000 Mercedes C230K My third brake light broke after I tried to unplug the cable, the poor plastic shattered in my hand from years of sitting in sunlight. So I have redesigned the housing to a simple 3D print with minimal hardware required. Hardware: - 4mm wide magnets, these are optional, you can just glue the top on, but magnets are nice for easy access to the internals. - Printing - I printed in white ABS, then added silver outdoor paint. I would also recommend ASA, but not PETG unless you live in a cooler climate. I used 0.12 profile in bambu, which is overkill, you can print this in regular 0.2 and be fine. If you choose to use magnets, make sure your holes have dimensional accuracy. - Installation - This requires you remove the internal components from the original brake light, which means if you're missing it entirely, this print does nothing. If you do have it but its broken, you'll have to destroy it further to access everything inside. There are only three printable parts, the housing, the housing cover, and the stand pegs. The pegs are glued in (I used E6000). I noticed my pegs were a tad too long, so I added the cover last (easy with magnets) to give clearance on installation. The rest is the non printable parts. There are 2x clear plastic strips, 2x illumination boards, and one red plate. These are a parallelogram shape, make the wider side face up towards the cover. They simply slide into the rails and are held in by the plastic pieces on the side. There is no need to glue them as they hardly move, but they can be if needed. The red panel slides into the bottom part, it does not latch, just sits on top of everything, and the cover holds it in. - Final Notes - This is NOT an OEM part, or a recreation of the OEM part. It is custom designed by me, meaning it's not going look like or be as good as the OEM. That being said, the OEM third brake housings are wicked expensive which lead to me creating this. There are definite changes and improvements that can be made to this, while I cannot provide the .ipt files (Inventor) on this website, if you contact me you are free to have them and modify the components.
