Giant Spool Bowl

Design Concept Inspired by the shape of a 3D printer filament spool, the Giant Spoolbowl combines practicality and creativity. It consists of four parts – two side panels, one central threaded core, and a lid. The design can be easily scaled to any diameter or width, making it suitable for various uses: as a filament storage, a candy bowl for Halloween, or even as a decorative display piece. The thread depth is currently 6mm, ensuring a strong connection while keeping assembly smooth and precise. Future versions may include an optional snap-fit core instead of a screw thread for faster assembly. Print Settings Printed on a Creality K1 (or similar high-speed printer). Default width: 150mm (parametric design – can be customized). Layer height: 0.20mm Walls: 4 Top layers: 4–5 Bottom layers: 4 Infill: 20% Material: PLA Bed temp: 60°C No supports required for most parts – only the lid may need light supports depending on your printer and overhang. Brim recommended for better adhesion. Assembly 1. Print both side panels, the center core, and the lid. 2. Screw or press-fit the center section between the sides (depending on your chosen version). 3. Align the lid and close the bowl securely. 4. Optionally, add rubber pads, LEDs, or decorative items inside. The assembly is quick and tool-free. For themed versions (like Halloween), print in orange and black for the best look.
