Overview

The King Tiger was a powerful German tank used during World War II. Its official German name was the Tiger II, and it was introduced in 1944. It had very thick armour and a powerful 88 mm gun, which made it dangerous against many Allied tanks. However, the King Tiger was extremely heavy, which made it difficult to move and used a lot of fuel.

The King Tiger was mainly used on the Eastern and Western Fronts during the later years of the war. Although it was heavily armoured and powerful, it had mechanical problems and was expensive and difficult to produce. Only about 490 King Tigers were built during the war. Today, the King Tiger is remembered as one of the most powerful and impressive German tanks of World War II.
