Overview

This is a 22mm rigid segmented watch strap designed for strength, reliability, and simple 3D printing. Unlike flexible TPU-style straps, this design is built from solid articulated segments that create a durable mechanical structure while still allowing comfortable movement around the wrist.

The strap is designed to print in place with no support required for most parts. Only the adjustable clip requires a small amount of support, making the overall printing process simple and efficient.

The length is easy to adjust during fastening thanks to the sliding clip mechanism. The package includes two different strap lengths, so you can choose the version that fits your wrist and watch setup best.

The sliding adjustable clip is simple to use. Once you understand the movement, you can lock it and adjust the strap to the desired length within seconds. Slightly lift the outer part of the clip using your thumb and middle finger, then slide the inner part of the clip with your index finger into the required position. After that, move the locking part into the correct position to secure the strap.

Connection & assembly mechanism

The connection between the strap parts was custom-developed to make assembly simple while keeping the joint strong and reliable. To connect the parts, rotate the segment 180°, slide the O-shaped connector with the Swiss-cross detail between the two pins, and then carefully rotate it back 180° until it locks into place.

The first rotation may feel slightly firm, especially on a fresh print. This is intentional and helps prevent the mechanism from detaching accidentally during use.

The parts are designed with minimal gaps and tight clearances to maximize the amount of material in the strap structure, improving strength and helping the band withstand potential forces during daily use. After printing, a light pop, flex, or gentle bend may be needed to release all moving parts from each other.

If the parts are fused together after printing, your printer may need calibration. Check flow rate, extrusion multiplier, horizontal expansion and general dimensional accuracy.
