Rokenbok Signal Light LED mod

2 Leds, one red and one green. I used 3mm through hole leds. any that will fit will work.

2 resistors of proper value for your planned supply. I was planning on using ~5v, so I used a 1k resistor for my green and a 330 for my red. Check your leds voltage drop and properly calculate, I adjusted from suggested resistor values some to keep the brightness of each led similar.

some sort of wiring, I used a 4pin JST GH 1.25mm (or possibly molex microblade.) It's what I had on hand, a 3 pin harness would work just as well, just gotta make sure its small enough so you can push the wires through the frame but big enough so the connector will not pass through.

something to control, I used a 2 position switch.

Start by inserting both legs of each led through the two small holes in the center of the frame housing. you can bend them upwards towards the side with the cut outs in the top. then, lace your wiring through and snug up your connector. Trim your excess, solder the leads to the LEDs, and bend the solder joints into the cut outs so they sit flush with the surface. Photo of this process included.

on the other side of the wiring, use your resistors to connect to GND. Resistors were already wrapped for the photo.. but they connect to each switched pin on the 2 position switch.

yellow and red will be your voltage supply, white and black will be GND switched through the switch.

Glue your shades on, inset the lenses (you can glue those too, I didn't end up needing to)

I powered it off a 3 cell AAA battery box, anything in the 3v-5v range will work.

Hopefully, if any of this made sense, you'll have a nice switchable light to add a little flare to your build! I used whatever parts I had laying around to do this so no direct recommendations on what to buy. Junk from the junk drawer will do.
