Overview
I have a friend that I carpool with to travel to a distant sailing venue. We sail two classes (DF95 and IOM), so need to bring four boats. My friend's brother designed a car carrier that will hold all four boats. My buddy and I both have Dodge Grand Caravans, so it is designed to fit that car, but it also fits my Tahoe. It can likely fit many other vehicles and boats with a bit some modifications. I made a customized 2-boat version
Depending on your vehicle and boat, you can leave the boats assembled or take down the rigs and slide the carrier into your car or truck. It also serves as a very sturdy stand at the water's edge.
I include a PDF file of the plans for easy printing. Also a DXF if you want to mess with the stand in your own CAD software. There is also an STL file of the completely assembly so you can view it in 3D (this file is not for 3D printing, just viewing).
There is only one file for actual printing. That is the cradle half that fits my 2-boat stand. Glue two halves together to make one cradle piece.
