Overview
Background - Made this because I found the OBU display was obtrusive at its default windscreen location - Decided to relocate the OBU display onto the dashboard which is ideal for the Model 3 because its sloping dashboard means the OBU display is less noticeable, especially when you position it near the A-pillar - One can also use the provided adhesive on the dashboard, but I didn't want to damage the dashboard so this plate was made Features - The plate is designed to be snuggly inserted into the slot between the windscreen and the dashboard with a 6mm insert - The curvature of the insert was manually traced out using a piece of paper, so apologies if it doesn't look smooth or post-processed - It also has 1mm cutout in the center of the plate that fits the default OBU display's ball holder How to install - Recommend to first detach the OBU display from its ball holder for ease of installation - Insert the plate into the slot between the dashboard and windscreen - Position into the cutout and adjust the ball holder as preferred before using the provided adhesive sticker pad - You can also use some Blu Tack if you prefer a less permanent approach - Once satisfied with the angle, replace the OBU display on the ball holder and make your final adjustments using the ball holder Useful Notes - Tested on Tesla Model 3 (Pre-Highland) 2023 model - Printed using PETG and painted black - Uploaded the Fusion 3D raw file in case you want to adjustments/makes to it - Let me know in the comments if this fits the new Highland model
