Each letter takes 2 × D6×2mm magnets (Bambu Lab SKU CA004 , dropped into the two

pockets on the back after printing. That's 52 magnets for the full A–Z set. No print

pause needed — the pockets are open at the back, so you fit the magnets when the print

is done.

The pockets are cut at exactly 6.0mm — the magnet's true size. They're meant to be a

snug push fit. I'd recommend a small dab of superglue in each pocket: the fit holds the

magnet on its own, but a strong magnet on your fridge can pull it back out otherwise.

⚠️ If you print the STLs, or slice in anything other than Bambu Studio

You must turn on your slicer's hole / circle compensation before slicing.

In Bambu Studio it's Quality → Precision → Auto circle compensation . In Orca Slicer,

look for Hole compensation (or set an X-Y hole compensation of about +0.2mm). Other

slicers call it hole compensation, X-Y size compensation, or horizontal expansion.

Here's why it matters: FDM printers always print holes slightly smaller than modelled —

by Bambu's own calibration figures, roughly 0.2mm on a 6mm hole . Since these pockets

are cut at the magnet's exact size, that 0.2mm is the entire fit. Without compensation

the holes come out around 5.8mm and the magnets simply will not go in .

The included 3MF project file already has this enabled , along with everything else

dialled in. If you print straight from it, there's nothing to do — just slice and go.

This warning is only for people using the STLs or a different slicer.

Magnets

Bambu Lab Round Magnets, D6×2mm, SKU CA004:

Any 6×2mm neodymium disc works. Note that discs are usually made slightly under 6mm,

never over, which is why the pockets are sized the way they are.

Notes:

I added some resin and drew some patterns on the letters with posca pens💕
