Overview

Introducing my M2 Track system, featuring a centre drive mechanism.

This track was designed with ease of assembly and versatility in mind. It also uses fewer parts/plastic compared to my other tracks.

It uses common North American parts (6-32, 1/4-20, 5/16) but don't worry it also works with metric equivalents.

The main frame is a piece of 2040x550mm aluminum extrusion, and the brackets are secured using M3 screws and T-nuts.

The brackets/linkages can be positioned anywhere along the extrusion allowing you to change the shape/angle of incline of the tracks.

The sprocket perfectly meshes with the track for a constant grab, driving the tracks forward/backwards.

The tracks are easily assembled using 6-32x2" screws and nuts (use nylon locking nuts to prevent screws from coming loose due to constant vibrations)

Since this track is individual driven it can be used for a variety of robotic projects/UGV's. This is going to be my new track system for my new M2 UGV .
