Overview
A decorative box to hold a collection of coasters instead of having them stacked haphazardly on an end table. This design has a decorative, contrasting sloped (chamfered) top edge and a rounded interior base to hold the coasters. You can configure it for the length of your stack of coasters and their diameter, as well as fooling with some of the other design parameters if you like. You'll need to render it in two separate STLs if you want the contrasting colors. I used Iron Gray Metallic and Copper Silk PLA because it went well with the colors in my den, and had a nice retro industrial feel which I think nicely complements the wood , brick and leather ambiance. You may notice that this is basically a redesign of my wire spool dispenser, just a) lower, b) with a decorative edge, and c) without the wire feed hole . Code re-use for the win - once you write a circular channel cutter, it's astounding how many cylindrical things you come across that need to go in cuboid boxes.
