Overview

This is a z-axis upgrade parts set for the Prusa i3 Rework variant. It is based around the inexpensive Tr8 * 8mm (THSL-300-8D, etc.) leadscrews available from various places online. The nut trap is designed around the Delrin nut that comes on these threaded steppers or that can be bought separately from RobotDigg The leadscrew nut trap can easily be modifed to fit the brass nut that comes with many of the leadscrews simply by shrinking the hole size. Any different hole patterns can be added to the model or drilled after printing as the nut trap generally prints as a solid area with 50% infill, 3 perimeters. The x-axis idler bracket has two variants one with an integrated tensioner modified from the djvdpant tensioner, and one based on the Rework original part modified to fit the Delrin leadscrew nut. The tensioner uses a 624 bearing (same as i3 Rework idler). The nut mount holes are sized for a M3 Tap as there isn't room to install a nut on the back side, be VERY carful not to crank down on the screws as its just plastic and they will strip out, but even just slightly more than finger tight and these have been snug and stable for me.
