This is another remix, and an ohmage, to an RMS wind turbine project. Robert actually started with a remix of an earlier project and I am continuing that trend. NOTE: This project is ongoing and there may be changes to parts before it is final! 2ND NOTE: There are three patterns included in the 3MF file of parts that don't require support. Print this plate FIRST and make adjust your XY hole and XY contour compensation factors to ensure you get a SNUG fit on the 22mm bearings (first) and that the rotor shaft and turbine column will index smoothly with VERY LITTLE slip. The STL files are provided for each component, the 3MF files are split such that all parts that don't require support are in one project and the parts that require support are in the 2nd. Do NOT select Tree/Default for the supports unless you want to spend 1-2 hours separating supports from the parts. Key changes - I integrated a turbine base and electrical component housing component. The housing is intended to include ONLY the rectifier and a smoothing capacitor. All of the remaining generator components will be placed in a separate, shared housing. This permits the design to accommodate one or more turbine assemblies with heights that vary to your specifications. I changed to a rectangular 40x10x3mm N42 magnet to improve generator power and reduced the spacing between the magnets and the coil to approximately 3.5mm. Tphis mandated a rework of the coil stator and I took that opportunity to provide sufficient space for a 3-phase coil (as opposed to a single-phase coil) . I also changed to a 10mm indexed rotor shaft, from the 8mm smooth bore rotor, to simplify assembly. I am using 31 gauge enameled copper, rather than 32 gauge to reduce internal resistance. I will let you know how much wire will be required, but am targeting 50 watts per turbine assembly and 250 watts total (5 assemblies). I am reusing an component wiring board that I developed for the original Archimedes screw turbine.
