Overview
I am always amazed by the incredible free software you can use nowadays. This cookie cutter was designed for my daughter with Inkscape and OpenSCAD following this tutorial:
I have made a modification: my cutter consists of two pieces, first you cut out the shape with the one marked “outside”, then emboss with the other one. This way you are not limited to one certain thickness of dough. Print it from food safe filament with no raft and no supports.
We have tried several types of dough, the following gave the best results:
160 g flour
50 g sugar
70 g butter
40 g honey
1 egg yolk
a bit of salt
1 teaspoon vanilla
2 teaspoons of gingerbread spice
Mix the ingredients and put it to the fridge overnight. Stretch the dough, cut and print the shapes. Bake it for 8-10 minutes at 170 °C.
