K-Type Headless Guitar
There are two versions: 6 parts (for MK3-4 plate) and 3 parts (for larger printers)
This updated version features optimized joints for improved 3D printing, resulting in a more compact and efficient design. Several unnecessary design elements have been removed, and the body now includes an optional slot for a 2 × 10 mm carbon fiber strip to provide additional structural support. The assembly has also been simplified and now requires only four screws for fastening.
The main goal of this project is to create a guitar body that can be printed in separate parts without the need for glue. The parts are held together exclusively with screws, allowing the guitar to be easily disassembled, transported in a compact space, and reassembled with minimal tools.

The parts are secured using M4 × 30 mm bolts . During printing, it is necessary to use the pause-at-height function just above the nut cavities in order to insert the nuts, then resume printing. It is also recommended to use paint-on support blockers in the bolt and nut insertion areas to prevent them from being filled with support material.

25–30% grid infill
Print the parts flat on the bed
Use supports where required
Designed with approximately 0.3 mm tolerance between parts
The final 3D-printed body weighs approximately 1.3 kg without hardware . Body weight plays an important role in the feel and resonance of the instrument. For this reason, this model does not include additional weight-reduction holes. The body is already partially hollow due to the infill structure, which helps provide natural resonance while maintaining strength and stability.
