๐Ÿบ The Honest Shelf Series // Vol. 76 ๐Ÿบ

Meet Your New Desk Companion: The Peeping Planter โœจ A whimsical, character-driven pot designed to keep an eye on your productivity while cradling your favorite greenery. ๐ŸŒฟ

The Story Behind the Design ๐Ÿ’ก For Vol. 76 of The Honest Shelf , I wanted to move away from purely geometric shapes and create something with a bit of "soul." I spent quite some time refining the "binocular" hands to ensure they looked natural while keeping the model easy to print. Itโ€™s meant to be a little friend for your workspaceโ€”someone whoโ€™s always looking out for you (literally!). Whether it's for a tiny succulent or some desktop trinkets, this little guy brings a smile to any shelf.

Why youโ€™ll love this print: ๐Ÿ™Œ

Read the full description

Personality in Every Layer: The "O.K." binocular hands and the subtle smile make it more than just a pot; itโ€™s a character.

The Perfect Gift: As you can see in the photos, it looks incredible when wrapped up. Itโ€™s a "ready-to-go" gift for teachers, colleagues, or plant lovers. ๐ŸŽ

Optimized for FDM: I designed this specifically to be filament-efficient and fast. You get a high-quality, sturdy result without wasting material. โšก

The Honest Collection: This is part of my ongoing mission to create functional, beautiful decor that anyone can print, regardless of their machine's setup.

The "Matte" Color Guide ๐Ÿ While this looks great in standard PLA, it truly shines in Matte Filaments .

Matte Terracotta: For that classic clay pottery look (as seen in the photos).

Matte Clay/Grey: Gives it a modern, "designer toy" aesthetic.

Matte Pastel Green/Blue: Perfect for a softer, nursery or bedroom vibe.

Tip: Using a matte finish hides layer lines almost completely, making it look like a store-bought ceramic piece!

Print Settings (Quick Guide) ๐Ÿ›

Material: PLA Matte, PETG, or even Wood-filled PLA for a rustic feel.

Walls: Atleast 3 walls recommended if you plan to put real soil/water inside. ๐Ÿงฑ

Infill: 10-15% (Gyroid works best for weight distribution).

Layer Height: 0.16mm or 0.2mm for a great balance of speed and detail.
