Danke an astfaellergerald für das Vertikal-Windrad Ver. 2. Die Version 2 (NEW P1-5) von astfaellergerald gefällt mir sehr gut, aber das Putzen und Kleben der ganzen Teile macht etwas Arbeit.

This is a model of vertical axis wind turbine. I designed three types of blades. You can try which one works better, or design your own one. The one in the video is type1. The bearing I used is the one in a fidget spinner. (Inside Diameter: 8mm, Outside Diameter 22mm, Thickness: 7mm. [608 bearing]) [Update 2021.08.13] Since some people commented it doesn't spin well in low wind speed, I designed a new version, tested it, and it spins better in low wind speed! Check this out: How to make it: About us: Website: Facebook: Instagram:

It's a small (about 8 centimeter in diameter) modern looking VAWT model that actually works.

Here's my 'Mk2' Vertical Axis Wind Turbine (VAWT). I've always liked the lines of these, but they really caught my attention a few weeks ago when I realised that I couldn't explain how they work.

This was my first go at a Vertical Axis Wind Turbine (VAWT). I've made a 'Mk2' now that you can find here: These caught my interest when I saw one and realised that I couldn't explain why it worked.

The brother from It's easier to print, but a bit less efficient in the wind. The construction is very stable and light due to the wave shape. The wind turbine starts to turn in very light wind.

Hey guys, This is Build-a-VAWT, update 2. It is certainly bigger, certainly badder, and now has parts supported with which to generate electricity, formally elevating it from "glorified wind spinner" to official wind turbine :) If you're...

To make this you need; x1 8mm transmission shaft x4 32mm dc motor x6 M8 nuts x1 small voltage regulator x1 usb step up module

This should print without supports as long as you can print 45 degree overhangs. The 8mm holes at the top and bottom are designed to fit a gear or pulley with a mating attachment. The center hole should fit an M6 all thread stud.

this is a prototype of a new type of wind turbine to my knowledge . i made this because i wanted to test out the idea i had.

I have added a cap derived from original design of the turbine and a simply 110mm base, so you can close and mount the entire model.

this is a simple scale wind turbind model, which was originally designed to fit onto a model railway scenario. There are two versions: one is approx 300mm high and fit to 1:120 scale. The other one is approx.

My entry for the Thingiverse #CatchTheWind. I'v been always fascinated about green energy, for the sole reason that is free.

The construction is very stable and light due to the wave shape. For optimum pressure equalization, it is not closed in the middle. The wind turbine starts to turn in very light wind.

I tested how to make simple wind turbine which is fast to print and doesn't use much material. It's meant to print in "vase mode". Print time is under 3 hours.

This airfoil is for a vertical axis wind turbine. This parts are the prototypes. I am not finshed with construction and testing. I used an origninal symetric NACA Airfoil for the vertical axis rotor blades. What do you need to assemble?

CatchTheWind. The bike dynamo Wind Turbine (Shimano Capreo DH-F703 6v 3.0w Dynamo QR Front Hub) So I wanted some more power :) and took my previous design and incorporated the 6v 3.0w bike dynamo made the blades a bit bigger, add some...

Windmill - vertical with 3 blades. You can print 3 different models: + 1 - No bearing. + 2 - Bearing + gear. + 3 - Bearing + ring gear. You can use to light LEDs, recharge batteries or gadgets.

Note - I am currently printing the pieces and assembling it over the next couple of days, so some parts are subject to change. Expect to see pictures soon!

Wind turbine type Savonius, 3 blades, could be assembled using hexagonal wood pencil. PC fan shown on picture is not supposed to be used as generator, barely as speed indicator due to small output voltage (few mV only depending on wind).

EN: Savonius wind turbines are a type of vertical-axis wind turbine (VAWT), used for converting the force of the wind into torque on a rotating shaft.

This is a remix of the Wind Turbine Blade by St3rz0. I didn't like how thin the walls of the blade were, so I made them solid using fusion 360. The 5 blade sections slot together with a lock and key mechanism.

simpel the best, can use this mill as horizontal as vertical, later I will make a test with bearings and complete project will post

This is a modular VAWT that can be made on smaller printers. It can be stacked as high as needed to get the torque required for your energy production.
