Overview

This solar filter holder allows you create your on solar filters for you telescopes or camera lenses. You will still need to purchase a solar filter sheet. You can then cut it to the correct size and glue it to the solar filter holder.

Place the filter sheet between the filter holder and the tube connector and glue them together.

Also provided is a case to make transport and storage easier.

The STL files are for my Askar 71f Telescope, which has an outer diameter of roughly 88.3mm, so they will fit on all telescopes with a slightly smaller diameter.

The FreeCad model is adaptable to different sizes.

Adapt 'Lens Diameter' in the VarSet to fit your lens or telescope.

You can also adapt the 'Tube Length' in case you need a different length for a good hold on your telescope/lens.

The 'tolerance' parameter can be adapted, in case the fit after printing of the parts is suboptimal.

After adapting the parameters in the VarSet, press F5 to recalculate the model, then you can export the files.
