Overview
This was designed as a prototype to figure some things out for a future, more feature rich project. It is a direct crank 1:1 retrieve designed for pan fish jigging. Because of the direct crank, it reels BACKWARDS compared to most reels. V2 will hopefully address that. This has holes located and designed to either allow screws to pass through or to be tapped for 6-32 and 1 8-32 for the ratchet mech. I am looking for collaborators to help with V2, so if interested let me know! Any questions just ask! Update 07/29/2018: Well its been a while since I've worked on this, but I still want to get it done! Anyone interested in helping, please DM me! Also I'd love to see some makes! Update 05/06/2021: V2 is officially in the design stages! I've taken a small break from my usual designing tasks (not Thingiverse friendly) and almost have a prototype for the V2 done. It features gears, the ability to free wheel for casting, and doesn't use ball bearings. The thought on the elimination of ball bearings was to give the end user the choice to either buy or make bronze/delrin bushings, or to simply print some. We'll see how that holds up...
